Äsmo (Wolfgang Nyvelt and Stefan Gruber) has been meticulously designing and crafting the Pow Surfer from their shaping bay situated in the Austrian Alps in the Zillertal Valley since 2006. What began as a passion project has grown into a full-fledged pursuit of progression and functionality. Over the last decade, the boards have evolved from crude hand-hewn shapes into masterful works of art, combining traditional craftsmanship with unique technology.

Drawing inspiration from a wide variety of influences—from surf pioneers like Bob Simmons and Dimitrij Milovich to the technical precision of skateboarding—ÄSMO powsurfers blend elements of snowboarding, surfing, and skateboarding into something fresh, progressive, totally unique, and above all, fun. Grassroots brings its own deep roots in the powsurf movement, offering boards designed with a similar passion for flow and connection to the mountain.
